What exactly is Househouse Systems?

In Househouse Systems is a Creative Operations consultancy that builds custom, design-forward Airtable ecosystems for architecture firms, interior design studios, and creative teams. We redesign your studio's internal architecture: workflows, databases, project management, RFIs, specs, materials, and client communication, all through custom Airtable bases. Get automated workflows, integrated client portals, branded digital experiences, and ongoing Creative Ops support. It's the operating system your studio has always needed but never had time to build.

Why Airtable? Why not Asana, Trello, Monday, or other tools?

Because architects need flexible, relational, visual systems and not rigid task lists. Airtable gives you relational databases (connect projects → tasks → materials → vendors → clients), customizable structures, automations that replace repetitive admin, a single source of truth for your entire studio, the ability to scale with you, better visual organization for specs, drawings, and materials, better control of data than any other tool, and better long-term studio documentation. Most architecture firms who switch from task-based apps to Airtable experience fewer errors, higher efficiency, more team clarity, dramatically less stress, cleaner communication, and fewer repeated questions. Plus: Airtable is highly customizable (we do that for you) and plays beautifully with all of your existing tools.

Who is this system for?

Ideal for any size architecture studios (5–500 people), interior design studios, boutique creative agencies, design-build firms, and multidisciplinary design teams. It's especially effective for studios experiencing rapid growth, project overload, inconsistent processes, high admin fatigue, scattered materials/specs, RFI chaos, and unclear team roles. If your studio produces beautiful work but runs on duct-taped tools, this system is for you.

What makes Househouse Systems different from a typical “Airtable consultant”?

In Everything. HH.S is founded by a licensed architect who actually understands the pain points. That is why you can dump us your info and we know exactly what you want to do without any direction. We also are your own personal creative ops director, systems designer and digital experience designer. Our systems are built with an understanding of architectural workflow, design processes, client expectations, consultant coordination, tendering & construction realities, spec + materials tracking, client communication patterns, studio culture. Most Airtable consultants build databases but we build studio operating environments — strategic, creative, technical, and human-aware.

What parts of my studio can Airtable manage?

Just about everything behind the scenes. Project workflow. Phases. Deliverables. Drawing status. Deadlines. Approvals (internal or client-facing). QA. Client experience. Meeting notes. Presentations. Weekly summaries. Materials & specifications. Vendors. Track material prices, lead times, even shipment tracking. RFIs & FORs. Tasks & automated reminders. Staffing. Resource planning. Marketing assets. Proposals and proposal tracking. Templates & assets. Drawing lists. The system is the entire Studio Operating System and Airtable becomes your studio's single source of truth.

Will you build the entire system for me, or do we co-create it?

You don't have to do anything. We audit your current operations, identify bottlenecks, design the system, build the system, populate it with your data, integrate it with your client portal, create video training for your team, roll it out slowly. Your team only needs to answer the occasional question.

How long does a complete system build take?

This depends on your size and scope. Typically full systems can roll out in as little as two weeks. We build the most urgent components first so you feel relief immediately.

What if we already have partial systems or messy data?

Perfect. We can work with spreadsheets, Notion docs, Drive documents, screenshots, email dumps, Dropbox chaos, whatever! We will clean, reorganize, and rebuild everything into a cohesive structure. You don't need to prepare anything.

How does the client portal work?

Your portal is a beautifully branded website that gives clients project overview, milestones, meeting notes, decisions needed, designs, files, Miro board embeds, drawings, updates, whatever information you want to include. Everything pulls from Airtable. Clients are blown away while you appear incredibly organized while doing less work.

What kinds of automations can you build?

Almost anything a studio can dream of from workflow automations, reminders, status updates, deadline triggers, email notifications, consultant reminders, response logging, AI summaries, meeting notes generation, and more. If it is repetitive we can automate it.

What if our team isn't tech-savvy?

You don't need to be. We build different views so every member of the team can get a dedicated view or dashboard for their work. These are very clean interfaces, simple buttons, step-by-step workflows, video walkthroughs.

Do you train our team? Will the rollout overwhelm us?

We train the team. Training includes video walkthroughs, recorded demos, and 1:1 support as needed. Support is unlimited and always available. Roll out of systems is staged over the course of the term to ensure the team is never overwhelmed. Training and support videos are available 24/7.

What happens when we need changes?

You get ongoing Creative Ops support. We can update structures, add new projects, create new dashboards, add team members, tweak workflows, and refine operations as your studio grows. This is why ongoing partnership is key — operations evolve, so we stay with you.

Is our data safe?

Yes. Airtable uses enterprise-grade security. Portals are secured with private links. Sensitive information stays internal. User permissions restrict access. Systems follow least-access rules. We help you configure access properly.
